Choco Mucho in must-win game for last PVL Q’Finals seat

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans are in a must-win situation against the PLDT High Speed Hitters at the close of the PVL Reinforced Conference elimination round this afternoon at the FilOil EcoOil Center in San Juan City.

Currently sitting in ninth place with a 2-5 record and seven points, the Flying Titans are just half a game behind the Farm Fresh Foxies, which currently hold the No. 8 spot with a 3-5 win-loss slate for eight points.

A Flying Titans win in three or four sets would grant them three points and guarantee their progress in the knockout quarterfinal round, where they will face the top-seed Akari Power Chargers.

However, should the High Speed Hitters win in five sets, the Flying Titans will receive one point, which means they will tie the Foxies with eight points, leading to a set ratio decider to determine the final quarterfinalist.

But if the High Speed Hitters defeat the Flying Titans in three to four sets, the Foxies will automatically secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

The Flying Titans, which will be without head coach Dante Alinsunurin for the game due to his Alas Pilipinas men commitment, are a finalist in the last two PVL All-Filipino Conferences.
