Creamline ready for Jema Galanza’s absence in PVL Reinforced Conference

Alas Pilipinas national women’s volleyball team standout Jessica Galanza’s absence will not prevent the Creamline Cool Smashers from their title chase in the PVL Reinforced Conference.

Cool Smashers head coach Sherwin Meneses admitted that Galanza is a huge loss for the squad, but the team will work with what they have as they aim for their second crown this season.

“Siyempre malaking kawalan (si Galanza) pero, since nung nag start ‘yung conference, nagprepare and nag expect kami na, kung hindi sila makabalik, ito ‘yung magiging team namin,” Meneses said.

“We try na mag improve lang kami every game, kesyo nandyan ‘yung Alas Pilipinas o wala, ‘yun lang ‘yung sa amin,” added the incoming National University Lady Bulldogs head coach.

PVL president and national volleyball team chair Ricky Palou recently announced that Alas Pilipinas women’s players will no longer be released to their PVL teams despite concluding their SEA V.League campaign.

According to Palou, the Alas Pilipinas Women’s team will instead continue their practices as they will play volleyball clubs from Japan and South Korea in early September.
