NU Lady Bulldogs withdraw from V-League women’s tourney

The National University Lady Bulldogs have withdrawn their participation in the 2024 V-League Collegiate Challenge due to a scheduling conflict.

The V-League said in a statement that the Lady Bulldogs begged off playing their remaining matches due to their scheduled training camps and tournaments in Taiwan and Vietnam.

“The NU Lady Bulldogs have withdrawn from the tournament due to their participation in two international training camps in Taiwan and the VTV Cup in Ninh Bình, Vietnam,” it said.

The Lady Bulldogs are using the Taiwan and Vietnam events as part of their title defense preparations for the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament next year.

The V-League added that the Lady Bulldogs’ 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, and 25-11 victory against the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Lady Knights last Wednesday will no longer count in the standings.

The Lady Bulldogs recently made a coaching change by appointing Karl Dimaculangan as interim head coach in lieu of resigned mentor Norman Miguel.
