When it rains, it pours. And for double Olympic gold medalist Caloy Yulo, there’s a significant windfall.
Yulo is set to receive over PHP 60 million in rewards, perks, and bonuses following his two Olympic gold medals. His cash incentive from the government has doubled to PHP 20 million—PHP 10 million for each gold medal—along with PHP 3 million from the House of Representatives.
His PHP 32 million condominium reward from Megaworld Corp. has been upgraded to PHP 35 million, including cash. Additionally, the bedroom showcase has been upgraded to a three-bedroom condo at McKinley Hill.
Yulo is also receiving PHP 3 million from Chooks-to-Go and will be awarded an Olympic Gold Medal of Valor from the Philippine Sports Commission. Various businesses have pledged additional perks.
He is now assured of free lifetime meals from several restaurants, including Vikings, Tipsy Pig, JT Manukan Grille-Kalayaan, Hagemu Sushi and Ramen Bar, Basta Mura Bacsilog, Makimura Ramen Bar, and others.
Additionally, Yulo will receive a free gym membership, delivery service in Ilocos Norte, engineering services, laundry, and haircuts from a barbershop for life.
So, it’s certainly good to be Caloy Yulo!
