Jeremy Lin ranks Filipino food: Kare-Kare tops the list ๐Ÿ›

Former NBA star Jeremy Lin shared his thoughts on Filipino cuisine during his recent visit to the Philippines — and Kare-Kare stood out as his clear favorite.

“Okay this right here is number 1, it is delicious,” said Lin in a video posted on his social media, referring to the classic peanut stew.

The New Taipei Kings guard placed lechon kawali in second, while pork sisig and halo-halo also earned high praise.

Lin gave a “mid-tier” ranking to bicol express and chopsuey, putting them at fifth and sixth, respectively. However, he wasn’t too fond of pinakbet, tortang talong, laing, and dinuguan, which landed at the bottom of his list.

The 36-year-old Lin began his NBA career with the Golden State Warriors in 2010 before taking the league by storm during a sensational run with the New York Knicks in 2011 — a phenomenon famously dubbed “Linsanity.” He later played for multiple teams, including the Toronto Raptors, where he won his first and only NBA championship in 2019.
