Canino, Morado-De Guzman, Palomata wagi ng individual awards sa AVC

Alas Pilipinas standouts Angel Canino, Julia Morado-de Guzman, and Dell Palomata were honored with individual awards at the conclusion of the 2025 AVC Women’s Volleyball Nations Cup on Saturday night in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Canino and Morado-de Guzman successfully defended their Best Outside Spiker and Best Setter honors, respectively, while Palomata earned her first citation as one of the Best Middle Blockers.

The 21-year-old Canino ranked 12th in scoring with 74 points across the tournament, built on 62 attacks, seven blocks, and five service aces—averaging 12.33 points per match.

Morado-de Guzman, 30, emerged as the third-best playmaker during pool play with 24 excellent sets across five games.

Palomata, 29, posted an average of 5.83 points per match, including 1.83 blocks, in six appearances to claim her spot among the top middle blockers.

The trio powered Alas Pilipinas Women to a historic silver medal finish—their best performance yet—after falling to hosts and now three-time champions Vietnam in the final, 25-15, 25-17, 25-14.
