Former PBA Commissioner Noli Eala did not mince words about Mikey Williams, saying over the weekend that PBA teams should learn their lesson in dealing with the controversial guard.
Eala shared his opinion on X after the PBA Commissioner’s Office officially approved the delayed one-for-one trade, sending Williams to the Converge FiberXers in exchange for Jordan Heading, who will now suit up for TNT Tropang Giga.
“I never believed Mikey Williams would transfer to Converge, much less play a game there. In fact, I don’t think this mercurial brat will ever play a game again in the PBA,” Eala wrote.
“Teams should learn their lesson not to believe Williams and his PR team.”

The trade was originally brokered by both teams early last month, but the league only gave its formal approval last week.
PBA announcement on Facebook.
Heading is expected to immediately boost TNT’s guard rotation as the flagship MVP franchise chases a rare PBA Grand Slam this season.
As for Williams, assuming he finalizes terms with Converge, he could bring offensive firepower and veteran presence to a young squad headlined by frontcourt stars Justin Arana and Justine Baltazar.
Whether or not Williams ever suits up in a FiberXers jersey, however, remains to be seen.
