Fueled by the sharp attacks of Angel Anne Canino and the steady playmaking of Marionne Alba, the Philippine women’s team kept their hopes alive, pulling off a gritty 26-24 win in the third set.
It marked the squad’s second set win over the reigning champions in the tournament, having also snatched a set against Thailand during the first leg.
