Very Little Impacts From Imelda, Then Fall Weather Finally Arrives!

SUNDAY:
This morning we're waking up to mostly clear skies and temps mainly in the 60s. Today, expect mostly sunny conditions with highs near 90°.

THIS WEEK:
We're start out the week with Imelda just off the southeast coast, so Monday and Tuesday will feature partly cloudy skies with an isolated shower possible as the main effect of Imelda will be felt closer to the coast. After Imelda get's pulled away from the U.S. on Tuesday, we head toward drier and cooler conditions thanks to a northeast breeze. Highs Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid 80s, then we trend cooler with highs in the low 80s, with some locations only warming to the upper 70s by Friday. It does look like we start to see some mositure return next weekend with a chance for rain returning as early as Sunday.

TROPICS:
Hurricane Humberto is the bigger badder tropical system, with a brief run to Category 5 yesterday. This morning it is still a very powerful Cateogry 4 with winds of 155 mph, so just below Category 5. The good news is, Humberto will not effect the U.S. at all as it stays out in the open Atlantic and eventually moves northeast and further away. However, there is Tropical Depression Nine, located about 100 miles west of the Central Bahamas. This storm is expected to become Tropical Storm Imelda later today, eventually strengthening to a Hurricane late Monday or Tuesday. But, the current projected path has Imelda getting pulled away from U.S. on Tuesday by Humberto. That's good news for us and areas across the southeast coast as conditions will be improving and coastal flooding becomes less of a concern.
