University of Santo Tomas and College of Saint Benilde secured their places in the championship round after dominant semifinal victories in the 2026 Shakey’s Super League Collegiate National Invitationals on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Golden Tigresses overwhelmed Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 25-10, 25-19, 25-12, to remain unbeaten and book the first finals berth.
UST controlled the match from the opening serve, overwhelming the Lady Knights with its balanced offense and disciplined defense to complete another straight-set victory.
Team captain Regina Jurado led the way for the Golden Tigresses with 12 points, built on 11 attacks and one block, to earn Most Valuable Player of the Match honors.
The win extended UST’s unbeaten run in the tournament and kept its title bid on track heading into the championship match.
In the other semifinal, the Lady Blazers turned back Australian guest team Southern Storm Melbourne to arrange a finals showdown against UST on Sunday. (AC)
