The "La Luna Sangre" actress was the first celebrity to ever went to the war-stricken city of Marawi to reach out the crisis' victims. Photos of her circulated across social medias and attracting praises and positive feedbacks from netizens. She aimed to personally distribute 300 more relief packs for the victims.
But despite her good deeds, there are still people who sees and translates her actions as a doubtful sincerity, saying that she should not have done it with a media coverage.
Seeing how the actress was being misunderstood by others, Film Producer Neil Arce, her rumored boyfriend came in defense for the actress.
Throught a Facebook post, the film producer wrote how disappointed he was with other netizens for bashing without a single idea of what really happened. His post seemed to have rooted after reading a Facebook post saying, "When you do charity, do it quietly."
"i just read someone's post here on facebook sabi "When you do charity, do it quietly." saw the comments section as well ang dami nilang alam!"
Arce also explained that Angel Locsin did not asked for any assistance from any sort of security from the authorities nor called the media to publicly announced that she went to a dangerous city in Mindanao to help fellow citizens. He pointed out that the actress used her own money to provide relief packs too.
"the person you are talking about went to the most dangerous area in the Philippines unannounced and without bodyguards or even government supervision. she risked her life just to help our countrymen. media picked it up on her 2nd day there hindi po yun pinatawag and hindi pinlano. she spent her own money and wanted to do it as quietly as possible."
He questioned Locsin's bashers, asking what have they done to help and inspire others to help.
"what have you done to help? what have you done to inspire people to help? pati yung mga nagcocomment puro press pa kayo bring it on sulat niyo na ko ng masama wala akong paki! I know there are still good people out there but you people bashing people who are just trying to help others you are scum," he wrote.
Harizza Arumpac Sanggacala shared on Facebook a video she took during Angel Locsin's brief speech to the Marawi evacuees. In video, Locsin hoped that her small deed was able to lift up their spirits and somehow lessen the burden they feel.
The actress also shared the video to her Facebook page where it garnered different comments - both rude and applauding her deeds.
An certain Angelo Baquir asked in a comment if what the actress did was just a political propaganda.
"Another political propaganda, as I suspected. Ang TANONG, hindi ba kinikilala ang mga tao sa Marawi ? Papaano mong nasabi na hindi NILA kailangan ang tulong kundi pagkilalang makatao ? Nag punta ka ba nang Marawi para tumulong o gumawa ng issue? Sagutin mo ang mga katanungan, Angel Locsin?"

Angelo Baquir said that he was only asking questions about the actions of Angel Locsin. But why is there a need to question a good deed and imply that it were just political propaganda? What political propaganda is he even talking about?
