The Bacolod City Tubo Slashers returned from their defaulted game with an 86-68 defeat to the Imus Braderhood in the 2025 MPBL Season on Thursday night at the Playtime FilOil Center in San Juan City.
The Tubo Slashers were allowed to play against the Brotherhood after settling their P500,000 fine following their walkout from their game against the Pangasinan Heatwaves last Saturday.
The walkout was reportedly a sign of protest after the league did not allow their two new recruits, Tzaddy Rangel and Kenneth Malazarte, to suit up against the Heatwaves due to lack of papers.
In their return against Imus, Bacolod City suited up with only seven players, which allowed their opponent to break the game wide open, with the lead reaching as high as 19 points.
Regie Boy Basibas led the way for Imus with 16 points, Mark Doligon added 11 markers, while Jaypee Belencio and Ryussei Koga ended with 11 and 10, respectively, as they improved to an 8-10 win-loss slate.
Mark Ray Dubouzet top-scored for the Tubo Slashers with 21 points, Aldave Canoy added 17 markers, while Miles Cañal chipped in nine points and 14 rebounds as they fell to a 2-14 win-loss slate.
Meanwhile, the San Juan Knights-Go for Gold (15-1) secured a 73-66 victory over the Heatwaves (10-6). Arvin Gamboa finished with nine points, eight rebounds, and two assists to be named Player of the Game.
The Mindoro Tamaraws (11-8), on the other hand, cruised to a 103-72 rout over the Bulacan Kuyas (2-16). Wendelino Comboy finished with 20 points, including six three-pointers, for Mindoro.
