In the rivers of Indonesia, a man was believed to have been killed by a huge crocodile. He was identified as Syarifuddin, a 41-year-old man. Syarifuddin was bathing in the river with his friends and family when suddenly he was grabbed by a 6.5 foot long crocodile. He was dragged beneath the muddy waters and was believed to have died.
His family tried to look for his body, to no avail. Out of desperation, they asked for the aid of a witch doctor.

Amazingly, after the witch doctor performed his ritual, the huge crocodile shockingly returned Syarifuddin's body! The crocodile's jaws were clamped down on the man’s body as the reptile went towards the riverbank. It seemed like it was actually obeying the commands of the witch doctor.
What the police found strange was that Syarifuddin's body had no wounds. The crocodile seemingly decided not to eat him. Some theories suggest that the croc was actually protecting Syarifuddin’s body from other predator.
Police Inspector Talisayan Faisal Hamid says he witnessed the strange event and he saw three other crocodiles in the water that looked like they were guarding Syariffuddin’s body.

Inspector Faisal also said that Syarifuddin was naked in the river when the crocodile attacked him. He says this probably enticed the crocodile into thinking he was food. The police officer suggests bathing in rivers with clothes on.
These animal attacks are not uncommon in certain Asian regions, especially in remote villages.
