Extorting money itself is shameless but if you add a government employee doing this bad deed, you'll definitely wonder what better word to describe it.
As the struggle of the MMDA to change its image in the public, many of its officers also works hard to drag it down the slump at all cost. It doesn't matter to them that their ninja moves can be easily recorded on camera or that there are now people who can longer stand their greediness.
Facebook user Marx Cyrus Dela Peña posted in social media how he witnessed an early bird catching an early worm.
Dela Peña rode a van from work. The van was going to a curve to Medical City when two female passengers abruptly opened the side door of the vehicle exactly the same time the stoplight changed turned green. Because of this, the driver didn't have a choice but to wait for them to get in otherwise, they'll be dragged by the van.
Just right in time, an MMDA officer stopped the van and confronted its driver. He scolded him for not following traffic rules. The driver kept on apologizing and begged the officer to just give him a warning. To Dela Peña's surprise, the MMDA officer told the poor driver to just slip it [money/bribe] in between the papers so that no one else will see it.
Dela Peña promised the driver that he will post the video to help get back at him and so he did.
Along his Facebook post, Dela Pena tagged a few media networks page names - 24 Oras TV Patrol GMA News ABS-CBN News and also the MMDA.

"Nasa Van ako pauwi from work mga 7:30am. Nasakyan ko tong si kuya driver na mabait. Paliko na yung van na sinasakyan namin pa Medical City biglang may sumakay na 2 babae na pasahero, binuksan nila ung pinto ng van. Sakto biglang nag GO ung stoplight ayun di naman magawang paandarin agad ni kuya ung sasakyan dahil makakaladkad yung pasahero kaya inantay nya makasakay muna. Sakto naman nagaabang tong bondat na to na wala yatang pang almusal, ang aga aga mukhang pera! Ayun pinara si kuya at pinagalitan. Ito naman si kuyang driver nagmamakaAwa na patawarin sya, sorry ng sorry, warningan nlng daw muna pero ayaw nung bondat na to. Hanggang sa sinabi iipit nalang daw sa papel (yung pera) baka may makakita. Hayuuuup!! 🖕🏻
