Several militant groups are threatening to stormed his second SONA with their protests.
Renato Reyes, the man behind all rallies and protests against almost all administration and also the secretary general of Bayan (Bagong Alyansang Makabayan) stated that the President haven't fulfilled any of his promises - end contractualization, salary increase, land reforms and economic policy.
"Isang taon na po si Pangulong Duterte at hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin talaga ramdam iyong ipanangakong pababago at naiinip na, naniningil na iyong mga tao doon sa mga pangakong napako," Reyes said.
Rallyist are requesting the authorities to allow them to hold their protest near the Batasan Complex.
Director Guillermo Eleazar of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will be the ground commander in QC on July 24. According to him, they are allowing rallyists to hold their protests as long as their are 200 meters away from the Batasan Complex, they are also required to coordinate with the authorities to prevent any problem.
Batasan complex will be secured by at least 6,000 police officers says National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Oscar Albayalde. They will be stationed around the complex as a part of the security preparations.
Manila Police District will be in-charged of the security measures around the crowded areas of the metro to make sure no threat will ever happen during the President's address. Albayalde said it is better to be safe than sorry.
According to the Metro Manila police, they are more than prepared to secure VIPs that will be attending the SONA at the House of the Representatives on the 24th.
Contrary to Renato Reyes claims that the President haven't fulfilled any of his promise, below is a partial list of the Duterte administration's achievement.
- Has visited 14 military camps in just a month, including installations that no sitting president has ever laid eyes before. He also visited military hospitals and has invited wounded soldiers for a dinner get together in Malacanang.

After which, he also managed to direct an all out offensive against the armed terrorists
- Has visited Batanes after a typhoon, and even if Batanes is governed by a prominent clan opposed to him.
- Has visited China, Japan, Indonesia, Brunei and attended an ASEAN Summit in Laos. Note the significance of giving priority to Asian neighbors.
