Andrei Dungo opens up about quiet move from UST Tiger Cubs to DLSU

Andrei Dungo confessed to withholding his decision to transfer to the De La Salle University Green Archers from his University of Santo Tomas Tiger Cubs coaches until it surfaced on social media.

Dungo revealed that he had been in communication with Green Archers officials regarding his prospective college transfer to Taft while he was still actively involved with the Tiger Cubs.

“Pagkalabas po sa social media, doon pa lang po ako nakapagpaalam kina coach,” Dungo said in an interview by The Varsitarian on Thursday night.

Dungo, spotted by Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, emphasized that he simply adhered to his parents’ advice when committing to the Green Archers for college.

In his solitary season with the Tiger Cubs, Dungo averaged 14.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 steals, securing a well-deserved Mythical Five selection.
