San Miguel Beermen team governor Robert Non expressed frustration over the officiating in their 99-96 loss to the TNT Tropang 5G in Game 1 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals on Sunday night, particularly the nullification of Moala Tautuaa’s late dunk.
Non questioned the decision by the technical committee, saying the basket should have stood and been reviewed immediately, especially since it came after a dead ball following a TNT timeout.
Non told the media before entering the Beermen dugout.

San Miguel rallied from a 24-point deficit and grabbed a 98-97 lead with 56 seconds left after Tautuaa’s inside basket. However, the referees later ruled that Tautuaa committed basketball interference by pulling the rim during the dunk, thus nullifying the basket.
With the call, TNT regained a 97-96 lead and sealed the win behind two free throws from Calvin Oftana. San Miguel’s Jaymar Perez missed a potential game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer.
