These Roommates Bought An Old Smelly Couch. What They Found Inside The Couch Was UNEXPECTED!

Next to beds, couches are our favorite piece of furniture. Aside from being comfy, there are hidden treasures to be found in between the crevasses of pillows and foams. Perhaps uneaten food, a letter, some loose change. Sit up and take notice of this tale of three friends, their couch, and the treasure they found.

Reese Werkhoven and her two friends, Cally Guasti and Lara Russo bought a beat-up couch for $20 at a Salvation Army store.

They were sitting on the second-hand furniture when Werkhoven worked her way into an envelope under the armrest. What’s inside the envelope? Just $700 in cash.

“I almost peed,” Werkhoven told SUNY New Paltz’s student newspaper, The Little Rebellion. “The most money money I’d ever found in a couch was like 50 cents. Honestly, I’d be ecstatic to find just $5 in a couch.”

The trio dug deeper into the depths of the couch, finding more bubble-wrapped envelopes of $100 bills. They collected the pile on the floor and were floored to discover a total of $41,000!
