By now you’ve heard that the Suzuki S-Presso comes with an ultra-affordable P518,000 price tag. That’s all well and good, but the question as to whether the cost would be worth it remained unanswered on account of no official specs being released.
This is no longer the case. Since the vehicle’s official launch has been canceled, Suzuki Philippines has simply posted the specs of its new mini SUV on its website. Now you can judge.
As reported earlier, the 2020 Suzuki S-Presso is available with a 1.0-liter K10B three-cylinder gasoline engine with a humble 67hp and 90Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
It’s compact, measuring in at just 3,565mm long, 1,520mm wide, and 1,565mm tall, too, with a minimum ground clearance of 180mm and a turning radius of 4,500mm. It also rides on 14-inch steel wheels with full covers and a MacPherson strut/torsion beam
suspension setup, and braking is done via ventilated discs up front and drums at the rear.
Included in the S-Presso package are electronic windows and door locks, a 12-volt socket, vinyl, and fabric seats, as well as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Bluetooth connectivity. Safety is limited to just a pair of SRS airbags for front passengers. It’s also worth mentioning that the vehicle comes with a central digital instrument cluster instead of one on the driver’s side, and its cargo capacity is 239 liters (with the rear bench seat up).
Available colors of the 2020 Suzuki S-Presso are the following: Sizzle Orange, Fire Red, Metallic Granite Gray, and Metallic Silky Silver. We have to say, the vehicle in orange looks like the real standout here.
It’s a relatively basic package, yes—but keep in mind the lone S-Presso GL MT variant comes in at just P518,000. That’s ridiculously affordable. Do you think this vehicle offers enough outside of attainability to make a dent in the market?
