Valenzuela City receives donation of 30 bikes and helmets for healthcare workers

Bicycles are proving to be useful during this COVID-19 pandemic. With the total ban on all forms of public transportation as a result of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, these two-wheelers are a great alternative for frontliners who are in dire need of transport to and from their places of work.

More people are starting to realize this, and as a matter of fact, someone has made a substantial donation to the Valenzuela City government only recently. One Trinity president Jerry Tiu has sent 30 Trinx bicycles and helmets to the LGU, and these bikes will be used by the healthcare workers at the Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital.

The LGU’s statement reads: “Maraming salamat sa donation na 30 bikes at 30 helmets, Mr. Jerry Tiu of One Trinity—distributor of Trinx bikes in the Philippines. Itong mga bikes na ito ay aming dadalhin sa Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital para magamit ng ating frontliners papasok sa duty.”

Kudos to Mr. Tiu for this initiative, and again, to all our healthcare workers out there. You can check out the Valenzuela City LGU’s official Facebook post below:

There’s also an initiative started by the Life Cycles PH Community and Lend a Bike Project Facebook groups, through which anyone can lend out their bicycles for frontline workers in need. If you’re willing and able to help, you can check that one out, too.
