Radio host Mark Lopez slammed an ABS-CBN news reporter for her malicious article about the “Welcome to China” roaming text she received during a visit to Pagasa Island in the West PH Sea.
In a Facebook post with the title “ROAMING PROPAGANDA”, Lopez accused ABS-CBN of hyping the anti-China narrative to annoy the Duterte admin and make the public hate the government.
“ABS CBN is again hyping the anti-China narrative just to spite the administration and incite hate and rage among the people.“
The ABS-CBN reporter that merited special mention by Mark Lopez is none other than Chiara Zambrano whom he accused of deliberately highlighting the said roaming text advisory she received from China Mobile.
“Etong biased reporter nila na si Chiara Zambrano, sinadya na i-highlight lang ang natanggap na text advisory nila eh ung galing sa CMCC o China Mobile na “Welcome to China” during a turnover ceremony sa PagAsa/ Kalayan Island.”
An indignant Lopez wrote, “At ayan, ginawan pa nila ng separate post ha (Photo1)”
“Nananadya di ba?” Lopez asked netizens.
Lopez remarked that the ABS-CBN reporter failed to mention that she was with the Defense Secretary who also received a text advisory from the same area, this time from Vietnam.
“Even if kasama ni Chiara si Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, na sya naman nakatanggap ng parehong text advisory in the same area, but this time from Vietnam (Photo2)”
Lopez said the text advisory phenomenon from our neighboring countries can be easily explained – telco signals were competing in one place.
“Isang lugar. Nag ko compete ang telco signal from our neighboring countries.“
Lopez lamented that this ABS-CBN reporter had other intention.
“Pero itong reporter ng ABS CBN eh iba ang intensyon.”
Lopez theorized that perhaps the instruction came from the bosses of her discredited network.
“Siguro dahil utos din ng mga bossing nya sa discredited network nya.”
“Otherwise, how do you explain that sloppy and careless reporting,” Lopez remarked.
Lopez reckoned that this roaming message is a non-issue.
“Plus, hindi naman dapat issue yang roaming message na matatanggap mo.”
Lopez solidified his argument that the text advisory from China Mobile received by the ABS-CBN reporter isn’t unique phenomenon to Pagasa Island. He posted screenshots as proof of his argument.
“Ayan nga mga screenshot ng commenters oh, saying that even in Batanes or Laoag, makakatanggap ka ng ganyang message from foreign cellular networks. (Screenshots 3-5)”
Lopez asked netizens if they agree with his verdict of ABS-CBN’s “Welcome to China” post.
“Grabe itong ABS CBN sa panloloko ano?“
