ICYMI, the Makati Business Club issued a issued a press release stating their opposition to the anti-terror bill. [Link here]
The stance of the Makati Business Club merited a strong response from Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles of the the FB page Luminous by Trixie Cruz-Angeles & Ahmed Paglinawan.
Atty. Trixie Angeles said that if you take a closer look at history since 9-11, you will notice that the victims of terrorism in the Philippines are mostly the poor.
Atty. Trixie Angeles went on to enumerate several terror acts that happened in the country to illustrate her point.
Andyan yung Rizal Day bombing.
Atty. Trixie Angeles asked netizens if it isn’t very obvious that no oligarchs were victims of terrorism? No one from Makati, BGC and many other affluent addresses or even from Eastwood were victims of terrorist attacks.
Walang taga-Makati, BGC, Alabang, PhilamLife, La Vista, o kahit sa Eastwood man lamang.
In other words, the poor are direct beneficiaries if the anti-terror bill is passed into law.
And of course, Atty. Trixie Angeles asked netizens what do they call people who are against such bill? What do you call the elitist bourgeois?
“Anti-Poor ba yun?” Atty. Trixie Angeles asked again.
Atty. Trixie Angeles remarked that it’s because these mestizo snakes are safe and sound at their respectives mansions. That’s is why, every issue that surfaces merited their attention, just to force their selfish luxury.
Atty. Trixie Angeles said these people don’t care about the poor, correct? she asked.
Your reaction to this?
