After spending the last three years in New Zealand, Kenneth Tuffin is testing the waters of the Philippine Basketball Association.
As reported by Naveen Ganglani, the Filipino-New Zealander forward has declared his intention to join the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft.
Standing at 6 feet 4 inches, Tuffin previously played for the Far Eastern University Tamaraws in the UAAP before showcasing his skills with the Taranaki Mountainairs and Wellington Saints in the National Basketball League.
“I’m a completely different player compared to when I left FEU—people will see. My time here in the NZNBL has changed my game so much,” Tuffin said.
In 2020, the 26-year-old had his best year in the NBL, averaging 8.6 points per game with a league-leading 49.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He also excelled as a defensive specialist, making him a contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award.
“I do not have any team preferences (in the PBA), but I will be thankful for any team that will give me an opportunity,” Tuffin said.
