The Farm Fresh Foxies are hoping that anyone between Thea Gagate, Leila Cruz, and Julia Coronel is still available when they make their selection in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft.
According to Foxies assistant team manager Kiara Cruz, the former De La Salle University Lady Spikers trio is high on the Farm Fresh coaching staff’s wish list as any of them will have an impact on the squad.
“We have players we hope na available pa, like sila Thea, Coronel, Leila, and iba pa by the time na it’s our turn, na… sa Farm Fresh as the No. 4 pick,” Cruz said.
Among the three aspirants, Gagate is surely unavailable at No. 4, as the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles have already announced that they will select her as their top overall pick in the rookie draft on July 8.
“Pero, unpredictable, eh? So we will see. We are excited din, including the Foxies, kasi siyempre whoever we pick, for sure, malaki ang maitutulong lalo na at hindi biro ang competition sa PVL Reinforced Conference,” Cruz said.
The Foxies finished ninth in the 2024 PVL 1st All-Filipino Conference, winning three of their 11 matches.
