SGA-Pilipinas’ Agee stays focused on free throws amid distractions from Taiwanese dancers

Strong Group Athletics-Pilipinas import Tajuan Agee maintained his free throw focus despite distractions from provocatively dressed female Taiwanese dancers during their 83-79 overtime win against Chinese Taipei-A at the close of the 43rd William Jones Cup on Sunday night.

With SGA-Pilipinas down 64-71 with 55 seconds left in regulation, Agee successfully converted two free throws amid the distracting dance performance by the Taiwanese dancers in the out-of-bounds area.
A few seconds later, Agee returned to the free throw line, and despite the dancers’ more aggressive attempts to disrupt him, he knocked down two more free throws.

Agee, who was just discharged from the hospital on Saturday after suffering from food poisoning, top-scored for the SGA-Pilipinas in the title-clinching win with 21 points, including 9-of-9 free throw shooting, along with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The sexy Taiwanese dancers had been disrupting the free throw shooting of the SGA-Pilipinas players since the start of the game, successfully forcing six misses out of 31 total free throw attempts.

Among the SGA-Pilipinas players who missed their free throws during the game were Chris McCullough (4), Rhenz Abando (1), and Derrick Fenner Jr. (1).
Despite these disruptions, SGA-Pilipinas secured their seventh Jones Cup trophy, finishing the week-long competition on top with a perfect 8-0 win-loss record.
