Bella Belen is a proud best friend as the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses, led by team captain Detdet Pepito, secured a gold medal in this year’s V-League.
“[C]ongrats, [B]adet!! 
” she said in a post on her Instagram broadcast channel.
Bella also congratulated UST’s defensive specialist when she was awarded Best Libero; on the same night, the Golden Tigresses lost Game 2 to the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws.
“[C]ongrats baks! [B]awi sa game 3, ako na totoka sa confetti,” Bella said, referencing the miscued confetti drop during that match.
The National University (NU) stalwart previously made humorous remarks about how UST’s near-sweep was interrupted by a challenge called on their supposed championship point.
Ultimately, the contested point was awarded to FEU, leading to UST’s defeat.
“[N]apasabog na yung confetti 
,” said Bella.
“[D]et ikaw na magwalis,” she added.
Bella and the rest of the NU Lady Bulldogs skipped the V-League to represent the Philippines at this year’s Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Vietnam.
