Netizens were shocked and enraged when they saw this video of a Chinese boss forcing its female employees to line up and kiss him every day on the lips!
According to Wereblog, every morning, between 9:00-9:30, the female employees of this company lines up to kiss their boss on the lips. This company believes that kissing the bosses enhances the corporate culture and encourages good relationships between manager and employees.
Local reports are unsure how long the practice has been going on in this the unidentified company. What is known is that this company sells home brewery equipment in the Tongzhou District.
According to the Shanghaiist, the company mostly employs women and none of them like the bizarre policy. Most of the female workers weren’t comfortable with this practice but put up with it in order for them to keep their jobs.
As of writing only two female workers have resigned due to the practice. It’s unknown if male workers have to comply with this kissing policy.
Due to the controversy surrounding the company practicese, the boss wished to voice his side of the issue.
He claimed that he discovered the practice while visiting a U.S. based company. He says that by kissing his female staff they generate “great cohesion within the company” - allowing them to bond “like fish and water.” Moreover, he claims that some of his employees genuinely miss him when he is away, and send him messages on Chinese app WeChat.
Naturally when this issue became viral, it garnered many outraged opinions from netizens.
