In a radio interview with Senate President Koko Pimentel on Saturday, he dared Senator Antonio Trillanes to provide evindences proving that President Rodrigo Duterte is the mastermind behind the newly formed execution group called "Philippine Death Squad" or PDS.

Pimentel told Trillanes to prove his allegations that President Duterte has a group of policemen involved in extrajudicial killings of alleged drug addicts, users, and dealers nationwide.

He also stated that Trillanes must back-up his claims in order for them to take him seriously.

"Si Trillanes, siya ata nag accuse na may organized group. Mabigat na accusation ‘yan, pero sana back-up din n’ya ng evidence para pansinin natin seriously yung accusation," Pimentel said.

"Pero sana meron ding proof, or witness, or testimony para maumpisahan ‘yung interes ng taumbayan dun sa isyu na ‘yan," he added.

Trillanes fired back to Pimentel stating that he's has created resolutions for investigation but they keep on terminating the resolution.

"Ilang resolution na ‘yung ginawa ko para mag-imbestiga. Pinapatay nila eh. Tine-terminate nila ‘yung imbestigasyon,” Trillanes said in a separate radio interview.

The mutineer turned senator also conveyed how disappointed he was when they immediately terminated the self-confessed retired SPO3 Arthur Lascañas' first hearing as a witness against Duterte.

"Ito ngang kay Lascañas mapapailalim natin imbestigasyon pero isang hearing pa lang tinerminate na," he said.

"Kung magbubulag-bulagan ka eh talagang wala kang makikita. Ayaw niya mag-imbestiga. Paano natin malalaman?" he added.

He was asked if he will be seeking for another investigation for his allegations when the Congress resumes session in July. The senator answered, "Definitely."

Trillanes filed three resolutions in the Senate that are worth the time to investigate. However, he is positive that the President's allies in the Senate will do nothing to investigate but will only keep on protecting the President.

"Pero walang action eh, itong mga kaalyado ni Duterte. Dinedepensahan siya. Binabantayan siya," he said.

Senator Trillanes filed a resolution seeking the Senate committee on Justice and Human Rights to investigate the alleged Davao Death Squad (DDS), a group of rogue police officers which he claims to be linked to the President.

He claimed that the said vigilante group are committed in its campaign against terrorism, drugs and street crimes. The group conducts summary killings of perpetrators in Davao City.

Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III said Senator Leila de Lima, the ousted chair of the committee on justice and human rights, should stop presenting self-confessed hitman Edgar Matobato's testimony against President Duterte, insisting that it is not related to the resolution that the justice committee of the Senate is supposed to look into.

Matobato claimed that the Davao Death Squad killed 1,000 people in Davao City which was ordered by the former Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and now the Philippine President between the year of 1988 and 2013.
