By now, everyone is aware that Charice Pempengco is now known as Jake Zyrus. This step was meant to make his transition from female to male more complete.
Aside from his name change, he has also undergone a mastectomy or the removal of the breasts. He also announced that he has been taking testosterone supplements for at least two months now in order to aid with his transition. Due to this, his voice has become a lot deeper and he is starting to show signs of masculinity such as growing facial hair and a change in his physiological structure.

The international singing sensation also admitted that since his voice is now lower than before, his singing has gotten a bit flawed compared to when he used to sing as Charice. However, he added that he is glad whenever his voice breaks every time he tries to hit the high notes as this is a good sign that his hormone treatments are working.
In order to prove how deep his voice is now, Jake demonstrated it during an interview wherein he sang Pyramid.

Obviously, Jake couldn’t reach the high notes anymore but you can see on his face how happy he truly is with his.
