President Rodrigo Duterte visited on Tuesday afternoon the wake at San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan of the Carlos family, whose members were brutally killed in their house on June 27, 2017. The President expressed condolences with Dexter Carlos, Sr., who is grieving over the murder of his mother, wife, and three children.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday visited the wake of the victims of a massacre perpetrated by drug-crazed suspects at Northridge Royal Subdivision, Barangay Sto. Cristo here and issued a stern warning to drug gangs, that he will kill and destroy them all.

Obviously referring to the suspects who murdered Auring Dizon, 58; Estrella Dizon, 35, Donny Carlos y Dizon, 11; Ella Carlos y Dizon, 7; and Dexter Carlos Jr., one year old, by repeatedly stabbing them in the wee hours of June 27, Duterte said that this was the work of loose organization of criminal syndicates.

“I will repeat my warning. If you destroy my country, I will destroy you. If you destroy young children, I will kill you. It happened here, papatayin ko talaga kayo, Sabi nila patay na yung isa, many will come."

“My job is to defend the Filipino nation. You can run but you cannot hide,” the President said in warning the perpetrators of the brutal murder induced by use of hard drugs as he condoled with Dexter Carlos Sr, the husband of Estrella and father of the three young children.

When asked by media what he promised to Carlos, the Chief Executive said that he vowed to give him a housing unit, PHP250,000 cash and cellular phone so that he could contact him if he needed his help.

“There will be justice, paano? I don’t know but it will come," he added.

When asked if he gave a deadline to the police to catch the suspects and resolve the crime, the President replied “Bahala na ang mga police diyan, I told them that I will kill them but I have never ordered them to kill.”

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, Vice Governor Daniel Fernando and City Mayor Arthur Robes, who were with the President, said they were in awe of the down to earth attitude of the President and his ardent love for the poor and victims of injustice.

“Dito natin makikita ang puso ng ating President sa pagdamay sa mga maliit at mga biktima ng karumaldumal na krimen, Naantig talaga siya lalo na sa sinapit ng mga biktima, lalo na ang mga maliit pang paslit,” Alvarado said.
