In contrary to the rallyists' reactions towards martial law proclamation, Mindanaoans are satisfied with the president's decision and have also expressed their annoyance to "concern citizen" about their safety because of martial law. They trust the president's decision that martial will help resolve terrorism in the country.
The Liberals and other people are afraid of the Martial Law which was declared by the president in the entire island of Mindanao and is prospecting that the entire nation must be placed under the martial law if Maute terrorist group were able to extend their atrocities in the Luzon and Visayas.
They fear that history will repeat itself where the late President Ferdinand Marcos declared martial law which brought nightmares to activists and rebels against the government and Marcos and it was also a period of terror for some due to abuse of authority.
Although President Duterte stated he will be harsh towards the martial declaration, he also stated that he will protect the country and he's countrymen.
