There are certain things that come to be cultural norms for different generations, and that other generations are completely baffled by. This is definitely true when it comes to fashion trends older Millennials don't get, but that younger Millennials loved.
READ THEIR SIDE:
"Stare, I Don't Care"
"Te san punta te" "wow kala mo artista" "porma porma pa magje-jeep lang pala"
These remarks from people you dont know actually affect how you dress. Sometimes you'd go "underdressed" just to shut these people off. Before I would just bring my porma clothes and change when I get to where I'm going. TBH, it's as hassle as the commute itself. But overtime, i started to become more confident in ACTUALLY WEARING WHAT I WANT TO WEAR. Of course you get the usual remarks and stares but, FUCK IT. OWN IT.
For this collab shoot i've prepared set looks i would actually wear on a daily basis on my daily commute. Bea rode a jeep, a tricycle and LRT. Bea drew attention (well because she's pretty-duh,haha-and her clothes are flashy) but s/o to Bea for wearing that "FUCK IT. OWN IT" attitude towards the people <3 also shoutout to Nico for taking up the challenge of using film on a risky shoot like this <3 <3 <3
What i'm saying is, so what kung maporma ka and you're on commute, they're just going to stare, looks can't kill. wear whatever the fuck you want to wear because that's who you are. dont be afraid. keep that vibe, "Stare, I Don't Care"
Thanks to Girl In Transit for the shirts <3 more photos on my IG account:
