Not only was the name replaced by former Charice Pempengco, if not his physical form for his new personality as Jake Zyrus.
He will not respond to the name Charice anymore.
Many were surprised at his sudden change when Jake posted his new name in his social media accounts.
Although her grandmother Tess did not like her, her mother, Mommy Racquel, was surprised that her decision was acceptable.

"I'm happy and proud of what my mom said. I know it was not easy for her but she's still manage to really accept everything, so someday my grandma will come around," she said.
Jake is excited that he is still a fan with no support for him.
Like a fan holding the placard with the name of Jake Zyrus joining a pride march.
"I'm not expecting that in the pride month and actually some years back, four years ago, June I also came out," he said.
Along with his change of name, Jake also removed his chest.
He called the "cold-pogi" injection of male hormones to testosterone so he could see that he had a mustache and his voice grew too slowly.
Jake can now say that he is more complete and happier now.
And even though she changed her name and changed her appearance, her love for music did not change.
In fact, he has recorded a new single as Jake Zyrus.
