Written in his tweets on May 27, Paredes said that he neve referred to the Mindanaoans as Taong Bundok. He also said that, how can he say such thing when his own mother is from Mindanao and that he has friends from the region.
"Jim ✔
@Jimparedes
I NEVER referred to Mindanaoans as Taong Bundok. My own mother is from Mindanao. Lies lies lies spread by trolls and losers on fake sites"
"My FB account has close to 4K friends. Don’t be fooled by fake sites. Trolls know they are losing the war on truth so they are desperate"
"Fake Jim Paredes account. Pls do not be gullible. Fuck this guy who misrepresents me. I never posted anything like this."
He also posted a video on his Facebook account denying the allegations thrown at him.
On his post, the self-proclaimed critic of the president and the current administration, he called out to an online news website about believing fake news and reporting it.
"To all people including news outlets Like politico.com who were fooled and rode on the fake story about me."
"I categorically deny that I called Mindanaoans 'Taong Bundok'. My Mother is from Mindanao. I have friends from there and I have been to Mindanao countless times. I have even performed in Marawi city. I have spent happy times all over the island. The statement posted on a fake account are as untrue as saying the PHL constitution has more than 200 articles. It is a complete lie."
"Imagine standing on a hill and tearing a pillow apart and letting all the feathers fly where they may go. Now imagine having to pick each one one by one. That is what spreading fake news, chismis is like.
"Let us all practice discernment."
Meanwhile, when the news about Jim Paredes' comment towards the Muslim-dominated region of the country, Director Manny Castañeda has also something to say to Paredes. He described the former singer as "metally-ill", "fanatic", "delusional" and "pathetic" and even called out the APO member's friends to help Paredes and bring him to an institution for he needs it badly.
"Based on his recent actions and statements, I sincerely believe that Jim Paredes is mentally ill and urgently needs help. The way I see it, he started as an Aquino apologist then became a fanatic and, of late, he has become delusional. For example, to refer to ALL Mindanaoans as mountain people or mga taga bundok is not something a sane person would normally say or do. I know many Yellowtards find him pathetic and recently would not want to associate themselves with him. And let’s face it, Jim Paredes has become a big joke, a lot funnier than Mocha Unson if I may say so myself."
"I therefore compel his friends to please help Jim Paredes. Maybe bring him to an institution of something. He needs it badly."
"(As an acquaintance, sagot ko na ang straight jacket.)"
"So, it may have been from a fake Jim Paredes account. Initially people believed the post was from Jim because it was something I felt Jim Paredes was capable of saying. In short, fake or not… the statement, to my mind, is very Jim Paredes," he wrote.
Just like what Director Castenada described, Jim Paredes is a staunch fanatic of the Aquinos. Last February, he castigated youth Duterte supporters during a rally for the anniv of People Power.
Insulting, blaming, and acting as if you're uneducated doesn't make you a critic. It only makes you someone who angry because you did not get what you want. You will be against every single ideology, decision and philosophy no matter how beneficial they may be for the country.
Watch the Video:
The president may cuss live on television, he may be sarcastic or whatever, but in reality HE WORKS, WORKS, WORKS AND WORKS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE COUNTRY. If he is as bad as you say, he could've just remove people's freedom of speech and jailed the person who called him a "psycho".
What have you done for the country? Something that even international media and critics will get blown away after hearing your achievements?
