In a report by GMA News on 24 Oras, Dennis Retulla recalled that the earthquake was worse than what he experienced during the typhoon Yolanda in November 2013.
A saleslady Gemma Ablen, another survivor also thought it was the end of her. She was inside the new Town grocery when the earthquake hit the area.
She added, "Napaka-traumatic, ma'am.
The report took note that all the trapped victims inside the building were already rescued: Marian Superales, 42; Jenelyn Omolon, 29; Cris Nicole Geraldez, 7; Zanchor Geraldez, 4; Edgar Cabahug, 46 and Irene Flores, 31.
On Thursday afternoon, the quake struck 8 kilometers southwest of the town of Jaro at a depth of 2 kilometers beneath the island. It was felt at Intensity V in Tacloban City and Palo, Leyte, and even as far as Cebu City.
Let us continue to pray for the safety of each and everyone at sana hindi dumating yung sinasabi nilang the "The Big One".
