Former Kapamilya showbiz news anchor Jobert Sucaldito poured out his heart in his Facebook post to talk about the culture of favoritism, upcoming stars and talents competing to get jobs by literally wiping a$$es of the big bosses.
Sucaldito opened the FB post saying he has grown tired of reading the heated debate between ABS-CBN supporters and non-supporters.
He admitted he has an axed to grind against ABS-CBN but his heart says #notoshutdown because there are still good people there who are affected by the shutdown.
“Nakakapagod na ring magbasa ng balitaktakan ng mga ABS-CBN supporters and non-supporters. Pero let’s go straight to the truth. Kahit galit ako sa ilang tao sa ABS-CBN, in my heart I am for the #notoshutdown dahil marami pa ring mga good people inside na di naman kasali sa mga isyu namin.”
However, Sucaldito appealed to the ABS-CBN owners, management to stop using the xxx,xxx employees as human shields because not all of them true. Some are blind followers, who were sweet-talked by the bosses.
“But wait, pakiusap lang, stop using the 11,000 employees as human shields dahil hindi totoo iyan. Yung mga iba nabubulagan lang. Nadadala sa matatamis na dila ng ilang bosses diyan.”
Sucaldito resurrected the issues of cameramen who were illegally dismissed, anchormen who were axed from the job because they were not friends to the big bosses.
“Kung naalala niyo pa, maraming cameramen ang na-dismiss illegally diyan – maraming anchors ang pinagtatanggal nila dahil hindi nila kaalyado and kasali na ako diyan.”
Sucaldito jumped the gun on people who will accuse him of sourgraping because he was unceremoniously axed from his job but the former ABS-CBN showbiz news anchor said there are some truths behind their dramas and all. “Sabihin niyo nang I have an axe to grind against DZMM and ABS-CBN pero you have to realize also some truths behind all their dramas and all.”
Sucaldito said this was in the news before – when many Kapamilya cameramen were invited to a dinner in a five-star hotel, served the best lunch, only to get their walking papers after the sumptuous meal.
“Nasa news iyan before – nung pinatawag ng mga bosses ang maraming cameramen sa isang five-star hotel and were served the best lunch in the world and after nilang kumain tsaka ibinigay ang walking papers nila.”
Sucaldito remarked there is nothing more painful than being axed from your job unceremoniously after giving your best to the company for several years.
“Masakit iyon sobra!!!! Sobrang sakit para sa mga cameramen na dekadang nagserbisyo sa kanila ‘tapos bigla na lang nilang tatanggalin nang ganoon-ganoon.”
He compared the ordeal to those people being led to the electric chair but before they were h@nged by electrocution, they were fed with the best meals in their lives. “Parang nasilya-elektrika ang mga iyon – bago patayin ay pinakain muna ng masarap. Pinakain niyo pa ng masarap na pagkain ‘tapos bigla niyong sinabihang tanggal na sila.”
Sucaldito could only asked where was the heart of the Kapamilya for the cameramen who were dismissed from their jobs for no apparent reason just because they were contractual?
“SAAN ANG SINASABI NINYONG PUSO NG KAPAMILYA? SAAN? Ganoon ba ang Kapamilya? Walang puso? Dahil contractual lang sila kaya anytime ay puwede niyo silang sipain palabas? Anong kasalanan nila?”
Sucaldito asked netizens if they did notice who got rich at ABS-CBN – only those who are allies inside the Kapamilya but none from the rank and file. How about the artists? Sucaldito asked how many singers and artists are jobless? He said if you look closely, the favorites of the bosses are the visible in teleseryes – judges in their contests, regular of ASAP and what not? If you are freelancer, you’ re lucky to have a guesting gig once in a while.
“Kung napansin ninyo, sino ba ang yumaman sa ABS-CBN – silang magkakuntsaba lang naman sa loob ah. Sa rank and file, may gumanda ba ang buhay? Sa mga artists? Ilang libo ba ang mga artista at singers na walang trabaho? Kung mapansin ninyo, sila-sila ring mga alaga ng mga tagaloob ang napapanood sa mga teleserye – judge sa mga pakontes – regular sa ASAP – ano pa? Kung freelancer ka, mapalad kung makapag-guest ka once in a while.”
Sucaldito isn’t surprised why these chosen artists would defend the Kapamilya because they benefited greatly from the network. “Natural na ipagtanggol sila ng mga piling-artistang ito dahil nakikinabang pa sa kanila. Ilan lang iyon.”
Sucaldito bared that if one artist has earned the ire of the bosses, he or she will never get a show or gig. “Pag napag-initan ang isang artista sa loob, nunca nang makakalabas sa mga shows nila iyan. Subukan mong kalabanin si Cory Vidanes, Johnny Manahan, Deo Endrinal, Lauren Dyogi, etc., tingnan natin kung makakabalik ka pa diyan.”
Sucaldito revealed the culture inside the Kapamilya network and how to thrive in such an unhealthy working environment.
“Kailangang himurin mo mga puwet nila or sumunod ka sa mga gusto nila dahil kung hindi, patay ka. Huwag niyo ring kalabanin ang mga alaga nila at wasak ang career mo. Kahit sa tama ka pa, pag nagsanib-puwersa ang mga iyan, tigok ang career mo sa loob.”
Sucaldito warned the Kapamilya bosses not to provoke him unless they want him to wash their dirty laundry in public. “Subukan ninyong pumalag ngayon at baka ilabas ko ang mga baho ninyo. Don’t provoke me!”
Sucaldito remarked that what happened to the illegally dismissed cameramen also happened to him. “Yung ginawa nila sa mga cameramen and other previous illegally-dismissed employees ay nagawa rin nila sa akin.”
At this juncture, Sucaldito narrated how his relationship with the Kapamilya network turned sour, apparently to give us an idea where his emotions came from.
“Yes, January 7, 2020 pa lang ay di na ako pinapasok sa program ko sa DZMM because of the Nadine Lustre issue na iyon. Ang masaklap, pinag-apologize nila ako the day after my commentary then di na ako pinag-show. January 10, 2020 ay pinatawag ako ng meeting with my very competent kunong station manager na si Marah Capuyan at pilit akong pinapipirma ng indefinite suspension ng aking contract.
And may go-signal ito sa ilan naming bosses. Gago ba ako para pirmahan iyon? Pinapunta ako para tanggalin ang sarili ko. Ginago ako, di ba? Hindi ako ulol, ‘oy!
Kaya wala akong choice kung di ang ireklamo sila sa DOLE dahil kahit contractual ako, 17 years akong nagsilbe sa DZMM and almost 20 years sa ABS-CBN. Ilalaban ko lang ang karapatan ko and nothing more.”
On Kapamilya supporters accusing the government of political harassment hence their network was shut down and then dramatizes the plight of 11,000 employees who will lose their jobs to gain public sympathy , Sucaldito told them to stop the drama because he is not buying it and remind them how the cameramen who were fed with delicious food before they were fired.
“Ngayon sasabihin ninyong pinulitika lang kayo ng pamahalaan kaya pinasara kayo at dumadrama pa kayong papaano na lang ang mga pamilya ng more than 11,000 employees na damay sa pagsara nito. Hoy, magtigil kayo! Kayo nga itong mga walang pusong pinagtatanggal ang mga cameramen na iyon – pinakain pa ng masarap bago tsinugi. Kahudasan, di ba?”
Sucaldito rebuffed the Kapamilya for crying out loud about suppression of press freedom because in reality, Kapamilya employees don’t enjoy free speech within the organization He also said internal politics is worse in the Kapamilya network.
“Sa totoo lang, mas grabe ang pulitika sa loob ng istasyon. Iyan ang totoo riyan. Huwag tayong maglokohan. Anong pagkitil sa malayang pamamahayag?”
He confessed that the Kapamilya isn’t the role model to preach about free speech because the people there aren’t free to voice out their opinion or say things that do not agree with management.
“Kami nga’y halos scripted na lang ang puwedeng sabihin dahil bawal ang ganito…bawal ang ganyan. Alin ang malaya roon? Mabuti na lang at showbiz ang beat namin kaya we can sometimes play with words. Kaya stop the drama.”
Sucaldito advised the Kapamilya network to do the fighting in the legal front – stop using the employees as human shield.
“Ilaban na lang ninyo legally ang pagbabalik ng ABS-CBN – stop using the people as human shields. Kaya tigilan na yang mga kiyemeng pagkalap ng 6 million signatures, etc.”
Sucaldito ended the long rant appealing to the public to stop tolerating inhumanity. He said what is happening to humanity is a form of punishment by God for our sins.
“Let’s not tolerate kahayupan on earth. Tingnan niyo nga at naka-karma na tayong lahat dahil gamit na gamit na ang Panginoon sa mga kagagahan nating lahat. Tamaan na ng COVID 19 ang nagsisinungaling dito para matapos na ang isyu.”
