The mother of De La Salle University star Angel Canino has provided insight into her daughter’s prolonged absence from the Lady Spikers in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament.
Sol Canino, Angel’s mother, clarified through a Facebook post on Thursday night that her daughter is not pursuing a professional career with the Akari Power Chargers. She also refuted rumors surrounding pregnancy, academic issues, and allegations of faking injuries.
The post remains unchanged and reads as follows (published as is):
“She’ll bounce back. She’s not going anywhere; she’s not going pro (pls stop dragging Akari). She’s not pregnant (pls stop dragging anyone). She doesn’t have acads problems and definitely she’s not faking this. She’s hurt and she will recover,” Sol said.
“As a mom, I pray that we must be responsible of what we post and comment because somewhere along the way there are people who gets hurt. I still believe in kindness so please just please be kind,” she added.
Angel, the reigning UAAP MVP winner, is currently sidelined indefinitely for the defending champions, the Lady Spikers, following an accidental cut on her arm.
