Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses wishes that the Cool Smashers will have a healthy roster as they aim for another championship run in the PVL Reinforced Conference.
Meneses, who turned 42 years old on Saturday, said his birthday wish is for his team to have a better campaign and his players to be safe from injuries.
“Ang birthday wish ko sana maganda ‘yung kalabasan ng team namin, maging healthy kami, and ‘yung injuries sana layuan kami,” Meneses said after the Cool Smashers’ 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, and 25-16 victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies on Saturday.
According to Meneses, the Cool Smashers currently have two injured players: team captain Alyssa Valdez and former PVL MVP Diana Carlos.
“May minor injury sila eh pero, hopefully, makabalik sila agad sa team namin, ‘yun lang din naman ang binigay na updates sa amin ng PTs (personal trainers) namin,” Meneses said.
“May timeline (of return) pero siyempre hindi mamadaliin, hopefully makabalik sila agad,” he added.
The Cool Smashers currently have a 1-1 win-loss record in Pool A.
