Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar said PCOO Assistant Secretary Margaux 'Mocha' Uson will have editors.
According to Andanar, editors will watch Mocha releases articles and videos on social media related to President Rodrigo Duterte.
"Mocha will not be able to separate her person from 'socmed' but ... but there will be editors ... to see the content of her releases," said Andanar.
However, Andanar did not specifically address how Uson will be held accountable for her posts and chose to remind everyone instead to be responsible enough “not to spread wrong information.”
“It’s also our responsibility as citizens of this country to only share the information na talagang makakatulong sa lipunan,” he added.
Would Uson take down her blog with over 5 million followers? Andanar said, “I don’t think so.”
He added, “We should strike a balance because there’s freedom of expression.”
Andanar admits that many are asking how to restrict Mocha's personal posts as government employees.
Andanar also supported the Senate investigation, in relation to false news.
Andanar says, there must be a clear definition of what is false and legitimate news.
"We should define what news is all, what an ordinary person can say, for example, with 50k followers, is that news? Do you have to be a member of an organization for a story to be news, "said Andanar.
