Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser restated his commitment to the national team but clarified that he would not play again on Cambodia’s linoleum basketball court, which had previously led to him injuring his leg.
“I won’t play on that court again,” Ganuelas-Rosser told the Tiebreaker Times. “But whenever my name is called, I’ll always be there.”
Ganuelas-Rosser played a crucial role in Gilas’ redemption during the Southeast Asian Games last May. Unfortunately, the leg injury he suffered on Cambodia’s linoleum basketball court somewhat overshadowed his impressive performance for the national team.
The injury kept him from participating in the Asian Games, as he needed time to recover. Last Friday, he made his season debut when the NLEX Road Warriors faced the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots.
“My wind, my conditioning need a little working on. But all in all, I came out healthy. Happy to be back out there on the court. I had fun,” the energetic forward added.
Ganuelas-Rosser concluded his first game of the season with seven points, three rebounds, and four rejections, but he fouled out early in the fourth quarter.
