SJ Moore leaves UST Growling Tigers after lone UAAP season

SJ Moore has decided to leave the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers after just one UAAP men’s basketball tournament season.

The Boholano guard announced his departure from the Growling Tigers through an Instagram story post on Monday night.

“It was a good run,” Moore wrote in his post.

The high-flying guard failed to find consistent minutes with the Growling Tigers in his rookie season, averaging just 2.36 points and 1.36 rebounds in less than eight minutes per game.

Moore’s playing minutes dipped further for the Growling Tigers in the pre-season tournaments with the entry of Geremy Robinson, Leland Estacio, Chase Lane, Amiel Acido, Ashon Andrews, and Isaac Danting.

Before moving to UST for college, Moore had an impressive one-and-done campaign with the Arellano University Baby Chiefs in NCAA juniors, averaging 19.25 points, 7.26 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.

Fastbreak learned from a source that a return to the Arellano University Chiefs is a possibility for Moore.
