Nine Dead Civilian Victims Who Only Bought School Supplies Shot Dead By Maute Group Finally IDENTIFIED!

Nine civilians who were tied and killed by the Maute terror group have been identified on Wednesday, May 31.



On a television news report, the three victims were relatives of a resident named Serino Granada. He identified them as Jemar Velasquez, 24 years old; Agong 15 years old and Rodel Alico while the others were reported to be his co-workers.

Serino Granada is a foreman in Marawi City and stated he too passed the same checkpoint where the victims were taken by the ISIS-inspired Maute militant group and he also stated the he went ahead of the group while his relatives were still buying school supplies.

"Tamang-tama lang ako nakadaan bago mag-checkpoint 'yung ISIS," Granada said. "Kasi bumili sila ng school supplies ng pamangkin nila kasi pagka kinabukasan, pauwiin nila 'yung pamangkin nila," he added.

All nine victims were signaled to stop and told to get out of the motor's sidecar, when they got out they were shot to death.

The militants forced the family to stop, then tied their hands and shot them till they died. Other residents identified the victims were Christians.




Reports from Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) have recorded a total of 19 civilian deaths and 78 are still missing. There are over 3, 228 people stranded in Marawi City while the government troops hunts down the local terrorist group.

Fortunately, the government authorities have rescued more than 2, 265 people from Marawi City. However, displaced persons recorded so far is at 140, 155 people or 28, 011 familities.

A total of 182 public and private schools affected by the gun fights.

The clashes began on 23rd of May in the city of Marawi where the terrorist group Maute attacked some areas.
Due to the atrocities, President Rodrigo Duterte placed the entire island of Mindanao under martial law to prevent the militant from escaping to other provinces within the region.

Evacuees chose to stay at the houses of their relatives or friends instead of the provided evacuation centers in Misamis Oriental.
