Magdalo party list representative Gary Alejano insulted AFP Commander-in-Chief and President Rodrigo Duterte for not wearing the ‘military uniform’ properly.

In his Facebook post, Alejano lectured President Duterte on how to wear military uniform properly during his visit in Iligan City on July 8. He also compared how President Duterte and Indonesian President Widodo wear their uniform.

He said that as a Commander-in-Chief of the military, President Duterte must follow the manual of the AFP ‘that specifies how to wear’ military uniform properly.

Alejano also believed that a proper wearing of military uniform ‘indicates discipline of the wearer and the organization or units he[Duterte] represents’ “Minsan makarinig tayo ng term sa AFP ng “laxitibo”, “lousy”, na ibig sabihin kamalasan at mag ayos ayos ka.” Alejano said in his Facebook post.

In the last part of his post, Alejano compared Widodo and Duterte’s way of wearing the military uniform. He also insulted the President and called him “Bugoy” a derogatory word in Cebuano language for not wearing the military uniform properly. “May tamang panahon at okasyon naman ang pagiging “bugoy” which PRRD wanted to project himself…” Alejano said.

Donning battle attire, the President tries to visit Marawi City last Friday, July 7 to talk to soldiers in a military camp there after his visit to the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade in Iligan City.

But due to bad weather, the trip did not push through. Photos of him wearing a military uniform is something new among the past president of the Philippines. Many commended him for wearing such, however his critics still never fails to say negative things against him.

Now, let us ask soldiers and policemen and people in the military.... Is there something wrong with the way Duterte wore the military uniform?
