However, with Facebook its totally a different story.

A British natonal Michael Conlan, a loyal supporter of Duterte took to Facebook responding to Mariel's tweet that Duterte neither approved of Kian's murder nor his supporters.

"I do not believe for a minute that President Duterte had approved or indeed sanctioned any actual killings or murders. Nor do I believe that any supporters of the President would be happy to accept any police officer acting outside of the law or their duty."

An Open Letter to Ms Mariel De Leon...

Dear Ma'am,

As a British supporter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his War on Drugs, I firmly believe that less people addicted to Shabu has led to a reduction in violent crime, rape and robbery. This in turn has led to Filipinos feeling safer on the streets.

In fact the crime rate dropped by 27% under the latest figures released by the Government. Surely this is good news worth appreciating and congratulating the President and government for?

When fighting any war or battle, there will always be innocent casualties caught up in the crossfire sadly. You only have to look at other countries around the world for proof of this including the United States and here in the UK.

As the President has said previously, if the police come up against drugs personalities armed with guns, then the police can shoot to kill, in self defence.

When someone is under the spell of addiction, words are often not enough to change a person, hard actions are needed. Of course I am not condoning anyone acting outside of the law, but I have no issue with PRRD using tough language and rhetoric to get his message across.

I do not believe for a minute that President Duterte had approved or indeed sanctioned any actual killings or murders. Nor do I believe that any supporters of the President would be happy to accept any police officer acting outside of the law or their duty.

The PNP has said that they will fully investigate the recent incident where Kian Delos Santos lost his life. Also of course there are two sides to any story. Let's wait and see, in the meantime I am very sure that no filipino or Duterte supporter would accept the murder of any innocent person???

So before making such bold or inflammatory statements ma'am, let's wait for the PNP investigation to take place and not jump to any conclusions. I think it's only right in the interests of justice and fairness!!!

Thanks for your time,
Regards
Malcolm Conlan
British supporter of PRRD,
London, UK.
