POC: HAGOC rejects appeal for women’s golf team roster change

The Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (HAGOC) has denied the Philippine Olympic Committee’s (POC) appeal for a roster change in the women’s golf team.

POC chair Abraham Tolentino stated that their request to replace Princess Superal with Chanelle Avaricio on the Philippine women’s golf team was rejected.

Superal became unavailable for the Asian Games due to a scheduling conflict with the Japan Tour’s Step-Up Circuit tournament.

With Avaricio’s rejection, Team Philippines is left with just two players, Lois Kaye Go and Rianne Malixi, for their gold medal retention bid on the women’s golf team.

The POC also requested roster changes in men’s basketball, gymnastics, and men’s football, but there has been no response from HAGOC as of yet.
