Gandler, Palomata excluded from Alas Pilipinas for SEA V-League Leg 2

Vanessa Gandler and Dell Palomata are not part of the Alas Pilipinas national women’s volleyball team competing in leg 2 of the 4th SEA V-League starting today in Thailand.

In the official lineup released at midnight on Friday, Gandler and Palomata were relegated to the reserve list in favor of Jessica Galanza and Cherry Nunag.

Also listed on the 14-player roster are team captain Julia Morado-de Guzman, together with Dawn Macandili-Catindig, Mhicaela Belen, Alyssa Solomon, Cherry Rondina, Thea Gagate, Jennifer Nierva, Faith Nisperos, Mereophe Sharma, Ejiya Laure, and Julia Coronel.

Alas Pilipinas Women will open their campaign against Thailand at 7 p.m. tonight before facing Vietnam at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Indonesia at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Jorge Edson Souza de Brito-led Philippines squad came off a bronze medal finish in leg 1 last week, where they defeated Indonesia.
