University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons men’s basketball team head coach Goldwin Monteverde has expressed his readiness for a potential coaching role in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
In a recent interview on Bilyonaryo News Channel’s The Scorecard program, Monteverde shared his willingness to fully commit to any PBA team that places its trust in his coaching abilities.
“Kung saan man ako dalhin ng sitwasyon, basta ako wherever I go, I’ll be ready,” Monteverde said. “Same thing with the team (I coached); whenever we played, we would always make sure to give our best.”
“Ako kasi, when I coach, I just stick to whatever I need to do for that day, so same with the team. You know we always just take it a day at a time, whatever we could improve on,” he added.
Monteverde boasts an impressive record, having secured two UAAP high school championships with the Nazareth School National University Bullpups and two UAAP seniors titles with the Fighting Maroons.
His success has also led to his name being floated as a potential candidate for the head coaching position of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth basketball team.
