Despite all their preparations, Gilas Pilipinas’ Japeth Aguilar conceded that beating the Dominican Republic is going to be a challenging task.
The Dominican Republic stands at No. 23 in the world and has the NBA’s Karl Anthony-Towns, while the Jordan Clarkson-led nationals are listed at No. 40.
“It’s going to be a 50-50 game,” said Aguilar.
Aguilar said they are now just making sure that they are well prepared for their game against the Dominican Republic on Friday.
“Kailangan naming i-execute ang game plan,” said the Gilas team captain.
“At the end of the day, even if we play the perfect game, given the caliber ng Dominican Republic, it’s still a 50-50 game.”
“We just got to do our best.”
