How Dingdong PH started..
Dong Dantes tells the story of Dingdong PH and how and why he put up the company.
“A few years back my wife marian needed help delivering a flower arrangement from her shop in ‘flora vida’ because she was unable to book a delivery service and with bouquet being so delicate I personally handled the package with utmost care and mindfulness when I delivered it to her customer in makati.”
“So this sparked the idea for dingdong as a delivery service which would deliver goods as if they were our own, valuing the hard work the merchant put into their product and the customer put into earning the money to buy it a service that had professional care so i shared the idea with close friends who eventually became my partners.”
Dong said that their mission is to develop and put out products ans services thay will make a difference and impact in the lives of their partner merchants, corporate partners, riders and customers.
“We sincerely believe that when we make that positive difference and disruption the bottom line goals and objectives will take care of itself. When the pandemic hit, it drastically changed our way of life requiring us to depend more and more on technology and riders to get things done, so this proved to be the right time and opportunity for ‘Dingdong’ to help build back lives to families and communities affected.”
“Our initial partner riders were displaced workers from the entertainment industry and we wanted not only to provide employment but to professionalize the delivery riders segment by providing comprehensive training in various disciplines they would need at work and daily life because we believe that with proper training and a diligent work ethic being a pro rider can be a rewarding career.”
Dong Dantes even delivered to unsuspected customers, they were so surprise to know Dong was the one delivering their orders.
