UAAP fans believed that the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles experienced their “balls don’t lie” moment during their 74-71 overtime loss to the Adamson University Falcons in the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament last Saturday.
Viewers of the game noticed instances where the referees appeared to favor the Blue Eagles, including in the final seconds of overtime when Ateneo’s Sean Quitevis was not called for a foul against Adamson’s Matthew Montebon.
However, the Falcons received what some called “divine justice” when the Blue Eagles’ Mason Amos missed two crucial free throws, and Adamson’s Vince Magbuhos sealed the victory with a buzzer-beating, game-winning triple.
Adamson just sent back Ateneo to Earth. It was a divine justice when the referees did not call any foul on the last three seconds of the overtime period. Congratulations Adamson! You will soar for today!

Watched ADMU-AdU highlights, and looked like Ateneo got ball don’t lie’d twice in OT. Amos bricked 2 FTs after a questionable foul, then Quitevis got away with hacking Montebon’s arm on a shot.
But it’s alright, at least they beat La Salle last game lololol

Shooting foul on Quitevis anyway. That’s basketball gods providing immediate justice.
